Broad Shoulder Press was born from creatives for creatives. Throughout Wyoming, we’ve met countless talented artists with a very common problem: where should I send my work? Or very similarly, why send my work anywhere? Recognizing these fundamental challenges, we aspire to create a nurturing environment where artists can explore, express, and connect with their audience. Through this online journal, we will provide a place where artists feel comfortable sending their work and to help them develop pieces. At the most recent Bookmarked Literary Arts Festival in Lander, there were many emerging and new writers who deserve an outlet to share their work and have opportunities to perform beyond the yearly festival. It was inspiring to witness the passion and creativity on display, but we also noticed that many of these artists felt lost in navigating their next steps. We love the written word and hope to foster and celebrate it with all of you, providing guidance and support that extends beyond mere publication. Our goal is not only to showcase the work but also to build a community where dialogue flourishes and new ideas can be born. Together, we can cultivate a vibrant literary culture that empowers every artist to shine.
